For a Christmas present, my quasi-brother-in-law gave to me a share in a generous Borders gift certificate. With this in hand, I headed to the Stamford, CT branch of the chain and purchased a slim volume upon which I've had my eye for some time. Yes. Batch 1 was prepared the day we returned home from our northern soujourn: Golden Vanilla Cupcakes with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. They were so good that it gave my heart pain to give them away to others, including my partner in life, love and parenting. So thats saying something.
